Storage for fine wine

The Liv-ex warehouse is available for members to store wine. Wine stored in the warehouse can be traded easily on Liv-ex, often without the need to be moved or checked again. Transfer of ownership can be instant.

After I sell wine, where do I send it?

You can either deliver to our Belgium, Bordeaux or Tilbury (UK) warehouses, or if you qualify for our collection service, we can collect directly from your warehouse.

Alternatively, we operate collection service from California and across Europe. We currently collect from France, The Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, Italy and Denmark. Shipments are temperature-controlled when needed to ensure that the wine arrives in good condition.

I am based in Asia. How are my purchases delivered?

Liv-ex offers weekly temperature-controlled air freight to your desired address in Hong Kong. It is charged at a competitive per-case fee. 

I am based in North America. How are my purchases delivered?

We operate monthly temperature-controlled deliveries to Beaune (France), which many of our clients find convenient for easy onward transportation to North America. 

How long will it take for my wine to be delivered?

If you have purchased wine under the SIB contract, it will be available in your Liv-ex account within 30 days, but often much soonerSome wine is offered as available now, which means it is already in the warehouse and is instantly available. Where delivery times vary from this, the wine is offered as ‘Special’ and the time frame is specified.  

Onward delivery times depend on your location and preferred shipping method.  

What are your settlement and admin charges?

All trades are settled by Liv-ex using our logistics network. We offer competitive flat rate fees depending on your location to cover logistics and administrative costs.

£8.10 if you deliver your sold stock to Liv-ex in either London or Bordeaux

£16.20 if we collect from you in Europe (exc. Switzerland)

£8.10 if you collect your purchased stock from Liv-ex in London, Bordeaux or Beaune. More if we deliver it to you in US or Hong Kong
